Wow. This is a really dirty play. Baylor’s Brittney Griner got fouled by Texas Tech’s Jordan Barncastle; naturally Griner thought it was a good idea to punch Barncastle in the face and break her nose. Griner was only suspended two games for the punch; that’s not severe enough. I say suspend her for the rest of the season. Congratulations Brittney Griner, I am Shaking My Head at you; I don’t care that you can dunk; punching an opposing player is always a dirty move.

This is probably one of the worst displays of unsportsmanlike conduct ever. Elizabeth Lambert, I am shaking my head at you. Congratulations.

The worst part of this is that she was only given one card, and a yellow card at that, during this game. What was the ref doing? How did he miss her punching girls in the head and pulling a girl down by the hair?

Thankfully, she has been suspended indefinitely by her school, New Mexico. I personally think she should be kicked off the team, maybe even expelled from school. If she is kicked off the team, she should banned from playing soccer at any level.

The “Balloon Boy” was found alive, somewhere in his house. I’m glad he is alive, but I’m shaking my head because this whole situation didn’t make any sense. His brother, who is 9 or 10, first reported that the boy had flown away in the balloon. For some reason, everyone involved took his word as gold and the massive search and hysteria began.

But, for some reason, not one person “on the scene” thought that maybe the brother was making the whole story up. And why did not a single person involved search the house when the “news” broke, just to be safe? This is just another ridiculous example of the lack of common sense in this country. The media and rescue people all jumped so quickly to their conclusions that they missed the fact that the kid was hiding in his own house.

Also, isn’t it odd that this happened to a family that had previously been on reality television? And the father had done work for CNN as well? Hopefully this was just a misunderstanding and not a staged event.

Wait, what was that Falcon?? You “did it for the show”?? And the dad scrambled to cover that up and failed. Nice job scaring everyone in America, Heene family. I’m still shaking my head at this.

MTV’s “experts” just named 50 Cent the #9 Hottest MC in the Game for 2009. Why? I agree with the first guy who says that this is ridiculous. 50 hasn’t made any hit records this year. And his “War Angel” mixtape was basically terrible. Just more of the same old 50 music. A gun play song, a murder song, a money song, and a song for the ladies. So to the guy who said “War Angel” is the second best mixtape of the year behind Drake’s “So Far Gone”: Just stop. You know nothing about music.

I’m anxious to see who gets the top spot. I’m pulling for Cudi but judging by this idiocy, he won’t get it.

Congratulations LeGarrette Blount, if one could call it that. You have single-handedly given me a new topic to post about here, a topic entitled “Shaking My Head”. By fighting your teammates, sucker-punching an opposing player, and then almost fighting fans in the stands, you have made me “Shake My Head”. This is in my opinion the worst display of sportsmanship I have ever seen. The University of Oregon Ducks’ runningback, LeGarrette Blount, got himself suspended for his entire senior year after his team’s loss last night to Boise State. As I watched what he did, I could not believe it. Blount had talked trash before the game, promising a win as revenge for the Ducks’ loss last year; then he proceeded to play poorly and lose. So Mr. Blount decided to fight a teammate, punch Byron Hout, a Boise State player, and almost engage in a fight with fans before being escorted off the field by police and teammates. There is absolutely no excuse for what he did, and hopefully missing his senior year of football will make him reevaluate his decision making process, or lack thereof.
